On the five year anniversary of the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (SB 657) we are pleased to announce our expansion and website re-launch.
Since our inception in 2013, we’ve driven the conversation around issues of forced labor in corporate supply chains. However, as corporations are increasingly being held accountable by consumers, investors, media, and governments for the labor practices within their supply chains, we are expanding our focus to better help businesses address supply chain labor abuses.
Our new website offers practical resources and insights to help corporations maintain transparent and responsible supply chains.
KnowTheChain is led by Humanity United in partnership with Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, Sustainalytics, and Verité. In the past, KnowTheChain focused on monitoring SB 657 corporate compliance, and the five year anniversary of that pioneering piece of legislation is a perfect opportunity to move forward by expanding our scope to all facets of responsible supply chain management. Be sure to read our SB 657 Insights Brief that highlights the learnings from our work monitoring SB 657 compliance.
